Have you ever thought of designing a corn maze?
Do you ever wonder how corn mazes’ are designed….from the creation of the design, to cutting the design into acres of corn?
Some might think that our family farm is just something that we work on in the summer months, but truthfully we typically start planning as soon as our season ends. This year we are hoping to start a new tradition of engaging our visitors to see what the ultimate corn maze would look like if they could design it.
Our corn maze last year was designed by 8 year old, Emile Hebert. One day he brought a drawing to his dad, Josh Hebert the owner of Louisburg Cider Mill, and said he thought his beetle juice drawing would be a cool idea for a corn maze.

From there, began the idea of creating a contest where children can use their creativity to show how they would envision a corn maze. The winner will receive a season pass to our family farm for a family of four, a $100 gift certificate to our Country Store and a basket full of Louisburg Cider Mill goodies.
We invite all children 5-17 years of age to enter our contest. It is open from February 19 – March 31, 2021. The entry form and draw sheet are available in our Country Store, on our Facebook page as an event, and through our website at louisburgcidermill.com. You can view all of our previous corn maze designs on our website under Fall Fun.
We cannot wait to see all of the creative entries!
